Jesus was a kid you know
Jesus was a kid you know a kid like you and me.
He laughed He sang He ran He jumped He got scrapes upon His knee
He did'nt like to go to bed or clean His fathers shop
And times there were when His mother said
Hey!!Jesus you'd better stop!!!
He stole a cookie now and then from Mary's cookie jar
And once He got lost and could'nt get home cause He'd strayed a little to far
So you see young friend He was almost the same the same as you and me
He was'nt always six feet tall or always thirtythree
He was just a kid like any other at five or six or seven
If you saw Him then with His dirty face you would'nt think He came straight from heaven
But come He did and come He will right back to you and me
And we will all be with Him He'll set this whole world free
There'll be no more wars and no more strife for He loves us each one so
And we wont be afraid cause what the heck
