Judgement day
If God was to judge you standing there today
Would he keep you in his home, would you be there to stay
Or would he send you back to earth to live you life once more
Stop and think about it, before you walk thru that door
Have you lived your life with greed and shame as most people now do
Or could you stand there proudly and be happy about you
Did you lend your hand to someone who was down and in need
Or did you just walk by them and sneer and be happy with your greed
Did you take a moment to stop and pray, and thank the Lord above
That you were blessed to still be with all the people that you love
Or did you take for granted you were given another day
Or did you forget that in an instant it could all be taken away
Would you stop and help the needy or would you just turn your head
Did you open up your heart to them, or has it turned to lead
Worrying about that dollar and how much in life you can make
Remember my friend if you were to die today, none of it can you take
You were put here on this earth to show if your love is really true
This life that we were given is just a test of what we all should do
Would you give your shirt to someone who was shivering in the cold
If someone was dying all alone, would your take them in your arms to hold
If someone was starving for a simple hug, and a kind word in his ear
Would you push them away not caring or would you pull them near
If someone was blind and could not see all the beauty that we do
Would you sit with them and explain to them, the beauty that you knew
If someone couldn't hear a single word, would you bless them with the grace
Of filling their life with the music of love by gently stroking their face
All of these simple things in life my friends are the test that we must live
To be accepted in Gods home above, you must not take, but you must give
So if you were to be judge for the life that you've lived, would you have a place above
Have you liven you life that in the final end, you will be blessed with God's true love
Would he keep you in his home, would you be there to stay
Or would he send you back to earth to live you life once more
Stop and think about it, before you walk thru that door
Have you lived your life with greed and shame as most people now do
Or could you stand there proudly and be happy about you
