Life's Compatability

Life's Compatability

Soft and sultry; the ochreous glow,
awakens me from slumber.
The day's agenda seems destitute,
yet overflowing with despair.
Activities remain monotonous,
and life mundane.
Expectations and plans gone awry,
misplaced between then and now.
The pattern flawed, imperfect,
as am I.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
