    Light

    Thy beauty in eternity
    Flashed out in sudden brilliancy
    Love into reveletion came
    And set the nuiverse aflame.

    Thy face revealed the angel viewed,
    Who being with no love endued,
    Converted all to jealous fire
    And smote at adam in its ire.

    Reason intended at that light
    Its borrowed lampto kindle bright;
    The thunderflash of jealousy
    Shatterd a world at rivalry.

    When the pretender sought to tread
    Where mysteries are all displayd,
    The hidden hand made made manifeast
    Smote uponhis unhallowed breast.

    Fate was preparing lots for man,
    and others cast for pleasure then;
    With hearts og sorrow I and you
    Waited our turn, and sorrowdrew.

    The higher soul desired to win
    peace in the entangled in thy hair,
    Was held inextricbly there.

    That day did Hafez in delight
    His note of love to thee indite
    When from his heart he did erase
    Of morta pleasure evry trace.

    I'm assuming English is your second language. You have great command of it. Nice write. I love the Netherlands and have friends there. Sally

    A beautiful work you've created. "Thy face revealed the angel viewed" Great lines, great write.

    The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

    Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
