    Lil Hawks

Time lost is a tragic thing.
It's when the mocking bird can't sing.
When a grey goose takes you away.
You see bad birds never have good days.
Jail birds have deeds to redeem.
Smiles in sin are not what they seem.
I've flown there before and it's for the birds.
I pray my young hawks that you hear these words.
They call me Wise Owl i've been throught it all.
I've flown through life on both sides of the wall.
A sparrow once told me to follow my heart.
I should've listened right from the start.
I have my regrets I have my crow's feet.
Now i have you chickadees to make my heart beat.
To watch you all soar is my only wish.
So I pray that you young hawks listen to this.

    excellant!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
