    Listen

    Listen softly,
    Tell me what you hear.
That the sound of my heart,
Trying to tell you how much I care.

    Listen again,
To the whispers of the winds.
    I’ve written you a song,
And I want you 2 listen as it sings

    Listen even closer,
Do you hear that soft whoa?
It’s a sound the Angels make,
Every time a smile you show.

And If you listen hard enough,
You can even hear the stars above
    Telling you how much,
    I’ve fallen in love.

Now listen to the words of this poem,
Oh how they must sound good to you.
But I bet you never heard it whispering,
How much I truly love you.

    awww how sweet!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
