    Love Passed

                                         Yes, its true my love;
                                         I have let you down
                                         And my face betrayed a frown.

                                         Yes, my dear, I brought you pain;
                                         Silently laughing as you cried.
                                         I never sought to end your fears.

                                         Your sweet whispers in my ear;
                                         Proved to be in vain.
                                         The years swiftly wandered in despair;
                                         Alone I ask: "Will you take me back?"

    thanks for the comment and unfortunately she no longer wants me in her life. I guess that's life inthe big city

    Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
