Love You Still
I love you more than the countless tears I've cried,
You were my first love and I really tried,
I didn't know how to act or what to do,
Just wanted you to know that I did then and I still do.
My love didn't die it lingers still,
And my heart tells me that it always will.
When you left I could have died,
So I instinctively ran to hide.
In the arms of another, as I always had,
With no notion she'd trick me and treat me so bad.
You weren't alone with pain,I hurt too,
Ive been told with love you always do.
Baby you left, but didn't really explain,
I alone, without my love, went nearly insane.
"You must find someone" I was given a command,
So I quickly grabbed to the nearest hand.
Not to replace yours but to help me forget,
Because with life I had all but quit.
I'm sorry I hurt you,was it so bad?
I guess it was, sorry to have made you so sad,
This isn't an effort to get you back - I know I never will.
It's just a reminder that I loved you once, and I always will.
