Luna Sinisti

Way up high in the velvet sky watching down on us
It stirs our internal tides, makes the currents rough
It evokes the lover, the killer, and the objects of their lust
Her haunting glow is all we know, but she certainly knows us

Like you and I she has two sides, one always hidden and dark
Heads will turn as bridges burn, we know this in our hearts
And even as we prod and taunt this ancient sacred crust
In the black night sky the Moon presides
Over all of us

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
