Memories
I wear this chain around my neck
To represent sadness and sorrow
I can take it off because
I’m afraid of events to follow.
I’ll never forget her
Through thick or thin
We may have argued
But she was sick then
Ifshe had’ve been
Not sick in the head
Then maybe today
She wouldn’t be dead.
If I had of said something
A little bit nicer
If I had of called her
Just one extra time
I understand now
Why she was what she was
She did what she did
Simply because
The disease she obtained
Brought her life to a halt
One finger did it all
Was it my fault?
So I wear the chain
That haunts me day and night
But I push right on
Because it will all be alright.
To represent sadness and sorrow
I can take it off because
I’m afraid of events to follow.
I’ll never forget her
Through thick or thin
We may have argued
But she was sick then
Ifshe had’ve been
Not sick in the head
Then maybe today
She wouldn’t be dead.
If I had of said something
A little bit nicer
If I had of called her
Just one extra time
I understand now
Why she was what she was
She did what she did
Simply because
The disease she obtained
Brought her life to a halt
One finger did it all
Was it my fault?
So I wear the chain
That haunts me day and night
But I push right on
Because it will all be alright.
