Poem Commentary

Been awhile but when the poetry wants to be written..it basically writes itself

Mine

I finally found it
The one I've been looking for
I almost missed out
Who knew you'd be the cure

I was hurting and sick
Wanting to be left alone
I figured this was it
Until you came along

You were patient and kind
Well at first anyway
But still most of the time
And it paid off you say

You have inspired me
That's why I'm writing this
You have waited for me
Since that very first glance

I let you into my world
Even though I was hesitant
When my thoughts were tangled
Back when I thought I can't

Tried to push you away
But you never did move
You have got me today
And you think you're so smooth

I really care for you
And I'm scared to say more
Because what if I do
And you walk out the door

It's not that I don't trust
You with all my might
It's just that I just
Don't want you out of my sight

I have been there before
Where it's cold and lonely
You helped me shut that door
It'll stay shut hopefully

I don't want you to doubt
Anything that I say
Even when you're down and out
I'll always feel this way
