    Mirror Image

She stares into the mirror an image looks back at her,
the reflection she sees couldn't possibly be,
she is lost with the image of what beauty should be.
She lies awake in hopes to change from disaster to spectacular.
Loneliness is her companion, lost in a world that demands perfection.
She stares into the mirror to look into the eyes of a girl who
has heard one too many lies.
    Her mind is lost.
    Her soul is crushed.
Her heart is a helpless victim of what beauty should be.
The tears of despair hurt the most.
The silent screams are the scariest cries.
She is living with the thoughts of a disillusioned mind.

Damn intense images. Perfection indeed is the standard. Judgement is its jury. Twisting minds against itself. Like a puppetmaster who before he can own you must get you to submit your will. Good outpouring poem.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
