    More Than Skin

I’ve learned a lot from life-
But what you teach, I must have missed-
And it’s not her eyes, her breast, her thighs, her hips, or how she kiss-

Not when it starts, – it’s the way she moves your heart-
Her simple gestures, her love is art-
She plays no role, she lives the part-

Is one truly blind with that initial visual bliss?
Because it’s not her eyes, her breast, her thighs, her hips, or how she kiss-

Her touch is with spoken words, I’m seduced upon a thought-
My gears shift, my spirits lift-
All along for this I fought??

Is a man really looking, when viewing the shape and twist?
Because it’s not her eyes, her breast, her thighs, her hips, or how she kiss-

Is it the things that you see first?
No, when it ends the first is never what hurts-
It’s the things you see second or feel every second that always pains the worse-

I’ve learned a lot from life-
But what you teach, I know I’ve missed-
Because it’s not your eyes, your breast, your thighs, your hips, or how you kiss!!

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
