    My DOLL

    I never had a doll.
    Look at them playing,
    without a care,
    running in the breeze,
    and its not fair,

I want to be child again,
    never was one you know
    always an adult ,since four,
If only I had a toy, never had one
    one night I had a dream , I had a doll
I awoke looking all over the floor,
in every corner i looked and looked,
    NO DOLL,

my Mom said what are you looking for?
I said MY DOLL MY DOLL.
Mommy said Stop You don't have a doll.

I cried I cried , I thought it was real,
Why doesn't she know how I feel?
she is my Mom she should know
    but she doest, she doesn't.

I miss my Doll , That I never had,
I was waiting for my Dad
I thought maybe he will know
    when he comes home
I will tell him my woe,
I heard a bus driving by,
there is daddy he is home,
    looked in his pockets ,
looked in his bag, No doll, I am so sad.

This is a very touching poem. You filled it beautifully with feelings, and detail. I was absorbed into this.

I so sorry you never had a doll as a child, they were such fun to play with. Of course I don't play with them any more but still. Great poem and try not to live in the past to much. The future is much more fun!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
