My Immortally Beloved

My Immortally Beloved

After an eternity of wandering,
through this world alone.
From the shadows I saw you,
and wished to make you my own.

From the alleyways I watched,
your dizzying drunken dance.
It made me want to possess you,
it was love at first glance.

The wince of pain on your face,
as I sank my teeth right in.
The innocence you conveyed,
I knew this was a sin.

As I drank deeper,
Our hearts in perfect tune.
I lusted for your affections,
I lifted you to the moon.

I drained you nearly dry,
In the dead of night.
I gave you one last chance,
To say goodbye to the light.

Upon my next visit,
a look of horror on your face.
I crept around your weakened body,
with unworldly grace.

I took you in my arms,
and kissed you on the cheek.
I felt your pulse and knew,
you were much too weak.

I cradled your face in my hands,
and whispered your lovely name.
I offered you eternity,
and life without pain.

No more dreadful sorrow,
In lifes little tragedy.
As I slit my vein,
I offered immortality.

Greadily you grip it,
and drink my love deep.
I feel the great euphoria,
and collapse in a heap.

I watch your eyes roll back,
hiding from the comming light.
You are now my companion,
another Child of the Night.
