    My Number One

He loved me so much he chased me for years. I was to busy having fun running with my friends. Hanging out, clubing, and drinking. I thought I'm having to much I was thinking. But when he came to me and told me he was giving up. I thought to myself that's messed up. Think quick. I came to my senses. Girl don't let him go you must be tripping. Have you forgot what world you're in. There ain't to many good men. I took a deep breathe and counted to ten. I went and got my man. Now we are together as one. He's my husband, my lover,my confidant, and my number one.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
