    my one true love

    Your my one true love.
And everyday I ask how can this be.
You must be sent from above.
    Your lips are so soft.
When you kiss me I melt.
    My heart is your loft.
    Don't ever leave me.
cause that would crush my heart.
Together we were meant to be.
When you hold me in your arms no one is in the room but me and you.
This is where I was meant to be.
Forever it will be just us two.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
