    nailed upon a cross

    The lord is my shepard
He guides me through my day.
So before i lay me down at night
I bow my head and pray.
I thank him for his blessings
he has given me so many
but the one gift hes given me i know i cant repay.

For he was nailed upon a cross
for my sins oh what a cost.who am i that he should give his life for me
So i pray before i sleep for my Lord my soul to keep
and that someday up in his heaven theres room for me.

So i try to live my life the way his word tells me to.
though sometimes in times of struggle it is hard for me to do.
I know that if i am faithful
try to stay within his grace
that someday ill meet my father and for the first time see his face.

For he was nailed upon a cross for my sins oh what a cost
who am i that he should give his life for me?
So i pray before i sleep for my Lord my soul to keep
and that someday up in his heaven theres room for me.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
