Nebulous v. Cumulous

Nebulous v. Cumulous

Scalding summer winds,

Winter's scorching rains,

Spring's balmy airs,

Autumn's dryness brings.

Living mobiles in the cell;

manipulation, life's great hell.

Life's great salvation -

chests, lungs, hearts swell:

beating, breathing, heaving -

within the cold, the heat, the humid, the arid

spell.

Within the great expanse of heaven.

I must study this for awhile. It sounds lofty and noble. I am not quite sure what it is trying to tell me...but that's okay. I like it.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
