NEVER FORGET
Black man don’t you ever forget,
How our people crossed over on those devil ships How they came to this land that was free,
But the natives were conquered they lost victory
How they worked as a slave night and day.
Then they built America and paved the way.
Black woman don’t you ever forget,
How you were nurse for another, Couldn’t even be mother For the ones that were of your own set.
How they took you for a prize.
And looked you deep in your eyes.
And said your mine and don’t you forget.
Black children don’t you ever forget,
That you’re our proof we’ll survive,
When we look deep in your eyes,
We see that were not conquered yet.
We see our future lives on,
In each black baby that’s born.
Our kings and Queens just haven’t conquered yet
So black people let us never forget,
That our warrior minds have not been snuffed by time, That our conquering being is checking out what we’re seeing, That our children of old are crying out to the bold,
To stand up it’s time to receive
PEACE & LOVE
