    of divers' course

    pry the lock
and peer with you my eye
    fissure born and keen success
    make lying unmankind
do you know what it takes to woo two lovers out of sweet remorse?
and afterwards fleet the tarkens with all sour tongues of old diverse
    of course you not
    and mine either
I am wraith and you are skither
now come wench and bring her hither

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
