Only a Thought or Two

Poem Commentary

My daughter just called me and was hurt by harmful thoughts that had been carelessly slung to her purposely to harm her. These thoughts came to my mind in feeling frustration and empathy for her pain.

Only a Thought or Two

One thought, only one?
Where does it begin? Where does it end?
How far can it go and who will it visit?
Will it be a fleeting flash or stay for a long visit?

Where do words come from, what makes them be?
and when is the moment they transcend into reality?

A thought is only a thought until when?
The moment it takes action? or is given to another?
Can you take a thought back if it is a bothersome linger?

How can you stop a thought before it can be? and can you erase one from your memory?

I wonder how the world would be different if we could recall....all the hate filled thoughts that caused it all?

I wonder if it would be different between woman and man if love was the thought instead of demands?

And what about wars and issues of black and white, would their be detention and would we be in this blight?

I wonder if there was not a thought of who is right and who is wrong, would we have the democrat and republican war going on?

If I think thoughts of hate does it make me hateful? and if love is my thought does it make me an angel?

Well, as you can see I am very confused and am very weary of this on going muse. To many harsh spoken thoughts have caused many to blow their fuse

But one thing I know from the thoughts of thought, One must be accountable before throwing words down. Each thought creates a picture true or false and then we share and defend them as they make their rounds.

What starts out to be words of  only reaction become the foundation of words taking action. Action in love brings wonders abound, words in anger causes worlds to tumble down.

So, a thought is a thought and confidential until
we make them an action and they begin down hill. Words spoken casually become the principals of stone and then we find they have a life of their own.

Maybe the message is to not  turn them loose  until you are really sure they are based on truth, Will they be worth the noise they will make or will they be words delivered in haste?

So, as we think down the road and know the difference thoughts make, will we be more responsible with the actions we take? And with each role that thoughts have to embrace human kind will we spread words with empathy with others lives in mind?

So deep you keep talking about thoughts which are becans and windows to the soul, we gather information and some things appeal to us more so than others, gut, we may decide to put them into action or not. They are still choices and we do control those. Words are my pictures of my thoughts that I have decided to share with you and they just allow me to see what is going on inside my own heart and mind. People cant help being confused it is a doorway to understanding and growth.

Yes, you are so right and by bringing thoughts forward we are able to see ourselves more clearly and make choices as to what we respect about ourselves and project that respect to others in our world. As painful and horrible as some of our circumstances are in our lives, if we look at the beginning most begin with a thought process. How we are able to ask ourselfs the right question and allow God or higher powers to guide us to universal principals...answers give us the opportunity to grow away from destruction and make a difference to all mankind. I have to cleanse my own heart and soul of mean and hateful thoughts so that I can be who I really am and not lose myself, my energy, joy and creativity to the negative energies that bring depression and mental distortion. When I take my hurt and frustration and make and work through it with words I can close my book and live my day with an open heart. With an open heart I can be present in heart, soul and spirit to make a difference in my life and the lives of others. How powerful are words? They have the most power for the power that is using them in seeking peace and love within their own soul. Yes, I hear you using your thoughts to work through your confusion and I commend you for it. Thank you for sharing.

Poetry is what is lost in translation.
