Only the heart knows
for the heart can see,
Only the hearts knows,
Because opposed to what we believe
we do not not control the heart
although it beats within you and me
The heart only knows truth and reality
The proof that we try to hide on a daily
maybe one day only time will tell
we will all know, what our heart has felt
the love, the lost, the hurt, the pain
The love that we once knew, and yet crave again
are we foolish for wanting something that hurts us so
If so then hear my pitiful woe, endure for in time you'll see
Only the heart knows, why we are foolish and week
Only the heart knows.
