Our Dance
Older couples look remembering
At what has faded long ago
But smile at what they used to share
Something every lover knows
With the old dances so conservative
Touching hands was all they dared
But the love flowed through thier fingertips
The same feelings were still there
The Dance has only just begun
And the floor is open wide
The others jaws are dropped in awe
Seeing the love we'll never hide
Tonight, I'll hold you close to me
And whisper in your ear
And tell you all the loving things
A woman needs to hear
And when it comes down to the last few notes
And the dancers start to slow
That's when we hold on tightest of them all
'Cause we never want to go
Let me take this chance to say to you
You give me all I need from Life
And let every dance express to you
That I love you, my dear wife.
At what has faded long ago
But smile at what they used to share
Something every lover knows
With the old dances so conservative
Touching hands was all they dared
But the love flowed through thier fingertips
The same feelings were still there
The Dance has only just begun
And the floor is open wide
The others jaws are dropped in awe
Seeing the love we'll never hide
Tonight, I'll hold you close to me
And whisper in your ear
And tell you all the loving things
A woman needs to hear
And when it comes down to the last few notes
And the dancers start to slow
That's when we hold on tightest of them all
'Cause we never want to go
Let me take this chance to say to you
You give me all I need from Life
And let every dance express to you
That I love you, my dear wife.
