Our Heroes,Our Friends
All oceans a sway, there they stay, night after night, day after day. Our men and women who fight for our rights, all alone in the night, without their families, without their friends, for they are so far away, yet they are doing what they feel is right,to keep us free to help us fight.
We owe a lot to our heroes who go away to try and keep us safe, for some make it back home, where they aren't so alone, some never do and there are more than a few, leaving their families at bay, whom hurt so deeply for their loss, but try to move on anyway.
I know it is hard on them, for it is on all,but to those families and their loved ones, we are thinking of you and praying every day, until they come home. Our heroes,we salute you, for you are so few and you will be remembered by everyone for all you do.
This poem is dedicated to all our heroes, home or away, you are always in our thoughts and prayers day by day.
