- I think as a poet people need to expect a lot of negativity and resistance. It's kind of like being an actor, in my opinion. You need to be able to take rejection and criticism. Just because you think your poems are good does not mean everyone does and most of the time, unfortunately, most people are probably going to think they suck. As a poet, I think you're fortunate if people understand and relate to 1 out of 10 of your poems. Wordsmithing is hard work and doesn't always pay off. True art...comes from someplace.

- Again , no personal attacks were made to other poets...Just stated what I feel. I did not understand her essay that was scattered. I never said I was the greatest and if you expect me as a poet to just shutup and agree because everyone else is, it is not going to happen.
