Puppy Love
Puppy love isn’t truePuppy love wasn’t you
You had real love just like the adults
Your love also had its faults
You felt the pain just like anyone else
You played your hand,
Your cards were dealt
You kissed too just like the others
You had a significant other
You guys went on dates too
What’s exactly the difference between the adults and you?
Your heart was stomped and crushed
When they first showed you affection you probably blushed
Your heartbeat spread up at the sight and thought of your lover,
So why is it so hard to believe you had another?
Why can’t you have real love and not puppy love like everyone else?
Doesn’t it matter what emotions you felt
You were on top of the world too when you felt those feelings
It was your pulse rate that hit the ceilings
You held hands and looked into each others eye’s
When you broke up at least one of you had a tearful goodbye
Why can’t your love be just as big and important as the adults?
You learned lessons, they were taught
Seems like both of your loves are the same thing
So what exactly by puppy love do you mean?
