    "I've Been Lost"

I've been lost along the coast, and I've been kissed
I've watched the burning metal sun with the hills at my back
sink into a foggy ocean mist
I've sent several lengthly letter's home, and I was lofty pissed
Because of children--great and small--all my Love is consumed in a wish

I've walked alone, in the burning dessert heat, my water almost gone
And the careless rapture from such a crazy feat
Did thrill me to my bones
If Angels Had of born me up--my ass it would have gone home
So constantly, my memory, reminds me of what's known

Some thoughts of Love, and what is Love?
Cling to such hearts as this
And if there is some Love for us..............
I don't know all the time where it exist's
But it's taken me such great restraint--just to come to this...............
Be kind to them you're older than, and don't worry about the rest.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
