    "John Nezey" (1953-2006)

I would sit in church sometimes lost in my thoughts
You would bring me back with a soothing voice
To let me know that JESUS is still the boss
You were so gifted at playing the piano
I would sit near the front just to see your hands move
You would wake up the church with sweet melodies
And the choir would come alive together with remedies
I even remembered when the end was near
You stood strong until JESUS took you from here
The gleam in your eyes while you watch your wife sing
Surely her faith will carry her until she sees you again
We will miss you and I wanted you to know
That JESUS has the best piano so give a good show
Rest in peace from your brothers and sisters
We are forever grateful for the blessings
You took the time to share with us

when u lose a loved one it really hurts, but u have reconciled with happy thoughts. I believe in a Creator who knows best. ' It is from Him that we have come and to Him we will return.' a poem which soothes ones thoughts.

You are wonderfully gifted in putting your thoughts in a fluent poetic flow. You captured my heart and took me to church with you as I experienced your 'experience'. Great piece of work! BLS

We are happy when we know that they made it to heaven, but we hurt because they are no longer with us. Such a lamenting silky cadence to this sad, loving write. Thank you for sharing sir.

... that Jesus has the best piano so give a good show. How beautifully respectful and caring you are as you lament in the loss of someone so dear. Your heart holds such tenderness. This is quite lovely. ~Pamela

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
