    Rain

I stare out the window pane,
watching as it starts to rain.

It starts as a drizzle and then it pours,
like the pain in my heart, each drop becomes more.

More of the sadness and hurt in my life,
more of the reasons I can't be your wife.

More of the reasons to start over new,
more of the reasons to get away from you!

To find the person I use to be,
To let go of the anger and set myself free.

Free to be happy and love someone new,
the way in my heart, I know I can do.

Interesting poem, my dear. Sometimes it helps to stare out at the rain, and just dream about things that could be.................g

Wooooooooooa, love it ... I could have written that, except I did when it was all over. Writing was my therapy, and still is sometimes.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
