    REAL TEXAS CHAINSAW

    shes waiting in line
    she hears the screams
with every one she gets closer

    she knows what is coming
    so her heart beats faster
life as she knows it is over

she wants to turn and run
but the gates are too strong
the monsters built them to hold her

    shes next in line
    shes pushed from behind
they creep up,and shackles now own her

    click click click click
    their pulling her quick
she falls then is hoisted up high

    her bones are breaking
    her body is shaking
    shes hanging there wondering why

    something approaches
    slices her open
she sees her blood fall to the floor

    shes feeling cold
    shes gonna go
    her nightmare is ending,but slow

    the shackles release her,
but its not to free her
it hurts when she hits the ground

    she is now dying
    is she screaming or crying
only dead cows know the sound

    now shes on your plate
    doesn't she taste great
i cant believe that this is okay

    don't be heroic
act like you don't know it
    turn your head
    look away
    look away

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
