Right or Wrong?

Right or Wrong?

What is right? What is wrong?
My family and friends hang onto me,
Pulling me away from the light.
Away from the peace that beckons me.
Wrong is the easy way out.
Dying is the wrong way out.
I must be strong for those who love me
And want me to stay.
I must fight to travel the other road,
Toward the love of those special to me.
Right is the hard way out.
Living is the right way out.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
