    Seasons

    Seasons

    By LaNita Cannada-Hickman

    There are seasons

    In between

    When things are so right

    Bills all paid

    Getting laid

Three times in one a morning

Enjoyment of the warmth of sunshine

    As it caresses your face

And the smell of fresh cut grass

After the last frost has gone

The gods smile down on you

    These seasons come and go

    Change is good

    And there are storms

    a monsoon or two

    there are times

    you feel you

    won’t make it through

    this builds character

    what’s life

    without challenges?

    in these times of

    disenchantment

    please know it

    can never last long

    if you believe in

    yourself

    There will be seasons

    In between

    Hallelujah!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
