Poem Commentary

Good Day, This is the first poem I have composed, and it was an assignment for an on-line English course at my local community college. I composed this poem about my favorite leisure, home activity, playing classical guitar. My playing ability is intermediate, not very advanced, yet my love for this activity surpasses almost everything else. Maybe some day I will have enough time to devote to playing and become a better player. Yet I chose this activity to compose a poem about, impressing my English Professor and after reviewing it myself, find it a true expression of my passion for playing. Thank You Patrick J.R. Bonici

Serenade

Found comfort for body reposing in chair,

Weary days thoughts lodged under my hair.

Laxity flows to souls precious dues,

With closed eyes my spirit renews.

Easing my worries at days long ends,

Search for love lies in my hands.

Her body’s curves so smooth and true,

Lie in my lap awaiting my woo.

Her warm neck gently rests in palm,

Other hand holds her belly calm.

My heart beat pounds traverse our chests,

Felt through her body with love in quest.

My gliding touch her body suggests,

Finger tips massage her neck caressed.

With every touch of glistening strands,

Her body shivers in my hands.

Whist replaced her quiet’s not stilled,

Throughout the evening our passion fills.

Her beautiful sighs with every stroke,

Fills the air like rolling smoke.

Both bodies and spirits now become one,

Our passion emits hindered by none.

Our heavenly sounds envelop entirely,

Pachelbel, Tarrega, Carulli, Carcassi.

With soul eased and spirit renewed,

We both feel the calm ensue.

Only together can this passion exist,

In each other’s arms we find bliss.

Thanx heavensdaughter, playing classical guitar is almost my favorite thing to do. After being busy with on-line college classes for 4 months, 1 of our last assignments was to write a poem. 1 hour of writers block & I looked at my guitar, (which I hadn't touch), and felt the words flow from my heart to paper. I guess a true heart felt composition is possable by lust for our passion.................Thanx Pat

Thanx, danmartyjake1, I had writers block to start with, then looked at my guitar & how much I missed playing because I was so busy with on-line courses. I had not touched her in 4 months & ached for her feel in my hands, then the words started filling my heart. Thanx again, Pat
