    Shies full of Shame

    Shies full of Shame
    By Dwion Johnson

    Like thunder and shower
    It is roaring power
    With blazing winds
    That makes your head spin
    The skies discharge its pain
    Shies full of shame
The magma leaps from the volcano
    Painting the sky of flames
    Snow rains down from heaven
To put out the sinful burn of hell
    The skies discharge its pain
    Skies full of shame

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
