    silent tears....

    when the whitemen came....
    with trinkets in hand....
    and snatched me from...
    my motherland.....
    i cried silent tears.....
    when he packed us in....
    upon his ship....
    so tight that half....
    died on the trip....
    i cried silent tears.....
    when he placed me....
    on the trading block....
    and counted my teeth....
    like livestock....
    i cried silent tears.....
    as i worked all day....
    upon his land....
    watching him grow rich....
from work done by my hand....
    i cried silent tears.....
    and when the master....
    kept me....
    and sold my wife....
    and family....
    i cried silent tears.....
    and now....
that my life is at an end...
    thinking about....
    what could have been....
    what if....
    i had not cried...
    but fought like a man....
    and died....
    i would not....
    have lived as long....
    but i would have lived....
    proud and strong....
    thinking of this....
    i die....
    crying my last....
    silent tears....

wow very good, but the whiteman i don't hate as much, if you look at today in the motherland, you would be glad to have been brought over here, but i do hate the way they treat us, kinda like animals(dogs) (MVick ) when this is not really their country either. but oh well I think people need to move on, if they do the world would be a better place.

This is deep as hell. Makes you think,................................

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
