Sisters

Remembering times from the past
Sometimes laughter
Sometimes tears
It still warms my heart to hear

We both enjoy our morning coffee
We start the day the same
With our precious pet at our side
Things will never be the same

Born under a year apart
We have the same sign
No two sisters could love dearer
Never shall we part

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
