    Something About Friends

    There is something about friends,
    in this time and place,
    that is so universal,
I think I know your face?
I must have seen you somewhere,
are you my long lost kin?
    Our path have crossed again,
    you my dearest, true friend.
You went some place and so did I,
from here to there, we crossed by.
Through lifes tough waves, we yet roam.
When I find you, I feel at home.
Thank you for your continued support,
    words of kindess and comfort.
My soul knew yours, it said hello.
I will follow you where you may go.
Even though your here and I am there.
    Friendship unbinding, can go anywhere.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
