Stuck!
“Let’s go for a drive”
My brother said
But Grandpa said
“You’re going to get stuck!”
Clueless,
We went along
Wondering
What grandpa meant
“Drive at your own risk”
The sign said ahead
We’re kids
We’re risky
We had to drive on
The bumps in the road
They shook us
They took us
Down through the mud
The deep
Oozing
Mud
We were stuck
We got out
We pushed
Harder,
Faster,
Longer
It didn’t budge
But we were determined
We didn’t want to be put
To shame
By grandpa
And
We did everything
But finally
We gave up
We walked
Miles
To the nearest place
Where someone
Anyone
Could pick us up
Our feet were
Piled with
Mud
But
We were saved
Someone came by
And
The truck was
Pulled out of the
Mud
Like life
We get piled up
With deep
Oozing
Mud
And we feel like
We’re never
Ever
Going to get our feet
Clean
And bare
Again
But someone
Someone amazing
Comes along
And
Takes our hand
To pull us
Out of the
Mud
