Summer Song
The Sun bathes the world in a golden glow,
and birds sing sweetly outside my window.
I step outside and glitter like gold,
the happiness I feel will never grow old.
Our spirits are at an all time high,
we rise on wings and start to fly.
Over the rivers and valleys we go,
soaring high and dipping low.
I looked lovingly at that shining one,
and my eyes did not burn as I beheld the Sun.
I smiled and gave a little wink,
then I started to really think.
Of all the happiness and joy it brings,
light and warmth and all those things.
We sail serenely through summer days,
soaking in those golden rays.
The sky is bright and baby blue,
then comes sunset with a violet hue.
And even in the darkest night,
let us all be the light,
that guides us through on our way,
to the next new and amazing day.
