Superhero

Life can be very frustrating at times, so many questions unanswered, emotions left unspoken, and dreams yet fulfilled.
Overtime a wall was created,….a wall that I’ve used to protect me…
Seems as tho my disappointments overshadows my victories,...But I never say anything…..I use my wall.
I have to,…in my mind “it” is the only true protection I’d known….it was myself.
I had no time to cry or share my emotions, I figured “why do that when I can use my wall”.
Yet I’m bursting with frustration, pain, hurt, and disappointments…I keep it all inside.
If I use my wall, then nothing would ever show……
No one would ever know……..
The true pain eating me inside…..
Shoot, emotions are for suckas, and I don’t wanna look weak…..
So I let my wall do the talking… I don’t speak.
I kept it all inside…..
I taught myself how to be tough….
And my wall helps me to cope and deal with stuff…
At least I thought……..
See, no one ever told me that the wall wasn’t guaranteed,..
That the wall wouldn’t forever protect me.
The wall,….I,…was beginning to fail me….
No one told me that all this stuff inside me would be better to unload…
I didn’t know that this mess would eventually make me explode!!!
*tears streaming down face*,….*exhales*…I’m ready for my wall to come down, Lord help me……
I no longer wanna be,….My own Superhero
