    TAKING CHANCES

     Sitting in my room, I can't stop thinking  of you
    You make me happy but I'm not sure if I'm right for you
    You are much younger than I am and somehow that bothers me
    I think you are a great guy, but I'm much older than you  as you can see
    When we first chatted I could tell that you were so not the one for me
    But time has passed and we are still chatting and I wonder could a relationship come to be
    You make me laugh and I love that about you
    I know in your heart that your feelings are real and  true
    I don't min taking a risk and with you I know that's what this relationship would be
    So let me ask you, if you are ready to take the risk with me?
    I'm willing to give this long distance thing a try
    Just don't tell me you love me just yet and please don't ask why
    I'm not scared, but I do have mixed feelings about this
    But I'm looking forward to your visit and our first kiss
    I'm sure you will be all for that which I am too
    But I'm sure you are more excited about kissing me and me kissing you
    Time will tell if you are a man of your feelings as well as your word to be true
    Maybe just maybe you are and I can tell you the words you want to hear: I LOVE YOU

    hmm good poem bad idea ,didnt you see what just transpired in there tonight all stems from an internet love thing gone wrong. lol very wrong. nice work on the writing

    WOW!!! This poem could have been written about me. I'm 35 years older than my partner and we met on MySpace, and we were 200 miles apart. Now we're together and have been for 3 years. This was a beautiful piece and I loved it very much.
