Tempest Traits

Tempest Traits

He is like the storm, wind’s relentless gales

His soul is forlorn, a ship without sails

May he have passage? Will he see the sun?

Lay down your trident, mighty Poseidon

He is like the squall, bitter nor’easter

His words power all; anger trumps the weaker

May he find patience? Will the storm clouds pass?

Part the storminess of the anger’s mass

Are your tempest traits begging of your woes?

Can you truly tempt patience of your foes?

Buried deep a dead soul yearns to awake

Pierce the clouds; let the sun quell your tempest traits

He is like the snow, whiteout condition

He keeps all he knows, reckless sedition

May he share wisdom? Will he help his cause?

Destiny awaits you at an ego’s cost

Believe Poseidon, you have the power to overcome fate

Undo Poseidon, internal damage only you have made

Rework Poseidon, rebuild the alliances of your trade

Begin Poseidon, your dying soul … It cannot wait

Are your tempest traits telling of your tolls?

Can you truly balance rage with your goals?

Shackled down a weak soul yearns to escape

Break the bonds; let light dispel your tempest traits

Fantastical feast for the eyes and senses! Love it!!! A definite "10" only because I cannot give you more.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
