Terror in Babylon

Terror in Babylon

In the light
Of pre-dawn
Terror strikes our lives

Out of the mists
Of Babylon
Come his evil cries

Screams split the air
Blood flows everywhere
The killing never ends

Demons romp
While imps play
It’s the time of the fiends

Satan rules
With an iron grip
He brings the world to its knees

And unless you choose to die
It is his rule
You must breathe

clear images, crisp images, so it is no suprise that I was a bit unnerved while reading this. wonderfully written poem, but it made me a bit uncomfortable.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
