Thanks

You came into my life in my time of need, you told me some things and planted a seed

You showed me some things I just couldn't see , or didn't want to see so i just let them be

You told me to fight and never give up, and to always be greatful for all that i got

You told me i didn't have to cry anymore , that my pain would go away if I just closed some doors

You said i just needed to start over new , to let go of those that didnt really care what I was going through

To get rid of the ones who were bringing me down, that made my life worse and helping me to drown

You stated one day when i was upset, that pushing people away was my safety net

That I needed to stand on my own two feet and be very cautious of the people I meet

You took my hand and showed me the way, so to you my friend I want to say thanks

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
