    The Distance

The distance I cannot control disturbes me ,heart ,mind ,body & soul
The distance I could not forsee, has come between you & me
The distance is like a thief in the night, with destruction in it's sight
The distance in a lovers cry, a sarcasm, an evil eye
The distance I see in your eyes makes me want to cry
The distance I feel in your touch makes me miss you so much
The distance I feel in your heart makes it seem we're worlds apart
The distance hurts like a cold sharp knife & it has become our life
The distance will get the best of us if we let it, & someday we'll surely regret it
The distance that we both own chills me right to the bone
The distance in which our love so lies, makes me want to scream & fight
The distance that you say you see, that distance has consumed me...as I lay here struggling to break free, losing sight of my own reality
The distance it controls me, discomforts & disconsoles me, oh but how it woes me!
