    The Family

    The Family:

The foundation of a civilization. The most important institution of a nation.

They mean more than just a group of people who are related.

When they worship, pray & serve together, the Lord is elated.

At one time, ours was tight-knit, loving & built to last.

But here of late, we have forgotten our past.

Remember our families were bought, sold, & set asunder.

Leaving us with nothing left, but to wonder; Where are my sisters? Where are my brothers?

Being set asunder, they could easily be one of my lovers.

We once had to sit around and hide to read our books.

Now most of us won’t give one a 2nd look.

We would rather sit around & watch the tube.

To turn it off & read would seem far too crude.

Instead of chatting on the internet, we should attempt to increase our knowledge, while getting our feet wet.

Research into our future, learn about our history. Learn more about the Lord, who always seems to be a mystery.

We seek to walk with Him, talk with Him. Strive to be like Him.

Strive to be like Him. Imitate His ways. We are His family. He is our father, the good Shepard who knows His sheep.

The family needs to trust in the Lord, & His blessings they will reap!

    Luke 12: 52-53

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
