    The Final Break Up

I'm crimped by your hateful energy towards me,
I keep thinking how can I fix this,
Your making me into a deep emotional abyss.

I call, begging for your time,
    a meaningful conversation,
Yet your anger overflows with evil temptation.

    Who do I turn to?,
    What do I do?,
How do I get through this with out you?!

I keep looking at the time,
    one hour has past,
and yet my heart feels like it won't last.

I ask myself, how did this happen,
How did I allow you to control my heart?
I keep telling you I am sorry that I fell apart.

    You are angry, unforgiven memories,
You ask yourself, am I the one?
Then you finally call, and and tell me we are done.

    I cry with endless tears,
and drink a couple of beers,
then I call you and spill all my fears.

To no avail, you release me,
today, tonight, I have no choice,
    but to set you free.....

    emotionally powerful…

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
