The Gospel of Jesus Christ (Have You Heard?)

Have you heard of Jesus Christ the Anointed,
From the GOD of Abraham He was appointed,
Born of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary onto this earth,
To be the perfect sacrifice from His birth.

He gave up His Heavenly Kingship for an earthly life of poverty,
To give the world a chance to have everlasting life's sovereignty.
The price He paid was the sin debt for all,
And the cost for us, is on His name we call.

He lived a life free of sin most divine,
Performed miracles and wonders, turning water to wine.
He was truly GOD sent as a servant He lead,
Even fed 4000 with a few fish and five loaves of bread.

He once walked on water and calmed a rough sea,
There was nothing to difficult for Jesus to be.
He preached love and forgiveness; and the grace and mercy of GOD,
He rose Lazirus from the dead, which some thought was odd.

He was betrayed by a kiss from Judas Iscariot,
For 30 pieces of silver not even gold that's hilarious.
He was lied on, and imprisoned by the so-called religious,
Then tried and convicted by Pontius Pilates shrewd gibberish.

And when asked by the crowds which man's life would they spare,
They chose Barabbus over Jesus, now how did they compare
A well known criminal to One who was sinless, innocent and pure,
But it was why He had come to intercede for all sin and endure.

Thus Jesus was condemned as a common criminal to be executed ,
To be beaten and hung on a cross was the sentence reputed.
He was publicly beatened and by His strips we are healed,
This was unknown to them but was later revealed.

He was made to carry and bare His cross all alone,
To be spat on and taunted not recognized by His own.
And finally to Golgotha which means the Place of the Skull, Jesus was crucified,
On Calvary Hill, most in importantly for us, on the cross was He placed and died.

And there to the cross He was nailed, hands and feet,
To die for the world's sin His mission also most complete.
But by His last set of words they should have known He had won,
He said ,"Father forgive them, they know not what they've done."

"Father into your hands, I commit my spirit." and He breath His last breath.
On the third day He rose and ascended into Heaven and sets at the Right Hand of GOD; thus returning with the keys from death.
And all that's required is by faith you inspired to believe this while some think it odd,
And to make Jesus Christ Your Lord and Your Savior; and spend eternity with GOD.

So I want to know that for your sins and salvation on the cross Jesus did die,
"That GOD so loved the world that He give His only begotten Son..." is not just a lie.
It's why He was born, the Lamb of GOD sworn, to be the perfect sacrifice,
And that my dear reader is what is considered, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
