THE LAST WORD

THE LAST WORD

I stand with my soul bear,
So with these words I share.
When a man stands alone,
He shall fall with broken bones.
Even with a heart of stone,
His last breath shall be no more than a moan.
His last words will matter not,
Even as they come out as a shout.
No one will listen to his words,
For they sound odd and absurd.
With a careful ear,
The words will sound so clear.
At first his words will sound rant and rave,
But the words shall be for his soul to be saved.
For a man may choose to stand alone,
But the fate of his soul is never etched in stone.

Rich, deep and full of wisdom, even stones morph into many things and the soul always has freedom to do the things greatly desired. So nice to witness your freedom in this piece, I admire it.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
